Spending Birthday Money

Connor got some money for his birthday so I took a 1/2 day of vacation on his birthday and when Tim got home from work we all loaded up and went to Wal-Mart so he could pick out whatever he wanted. He walked up and down the aisles until he came across the Wolverine claws......he was so excited to get home and play with them he even opted to go thru McD's drive thru versus going inside to play/eat.

This cracked us up....Jack came out with the Optimus Prime mask and Connor already had on the Bumblebee mask....when Jack walked up to Connor, Connor turned around and say "Hey Optimus it's me Bumblebee".

These pictures are kind of backwards.....the bottom is the beginning of the day and the top is the end of the day. Right when he woke up he opened his presents up from me and Tim. We then went to gymnastics and met up with Addy J. and Holly Beth. We finished the day with his birthday party. Fun times!!!

Connor wanted a super hero birthday party this year. Naturally not just any super heros.....Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Wolverine and Iron Man.

2nd day of school

August 14 - Since he had a meltdown the first day I didn't get a picture of him and Mrs. Murray his teacher....the 2nd day went much better!

August 13 - Connor's first day of school. I took the day off so I could take him and pick him up on his first day of pre-kindergarten. He is in the morning class so we needed to be there by 8:00 and would pick him up at 10:30. He was so excited that he was awake at 6:00 and ready to leave at 7:00. As you can see from the pictures his excitement shows....even when we first got to school and he saw Alec. Something happened on the walk there b/c when it came time for him to stay and us to leave he became extremely unhappy. I had to leave with him crying and screaming for me - not an easy thing for this mom to endure.

Connor came inside and insisted I come out to see his new pet turtle....of course I grabbed my camera to snap a few pics...
I asked him what he was going to name him.....this had him thinking pretty hard.....

he decided on CLAW!!!!! CRACKED ME UP!!!

He was able to keep him about a week, but then the temps started hitting the triple digits so we had to let Claw go. :-(

Connor was so excited that it started snowing mid-morning and that it kept snowing most of the day....he wasted no time getting his gear on and going outside to play.

Connor has been dressing himself for awhile....I finally got some pictures to show how big he is nowadays..... he can also put on his socks and shoes by himself (no pics of that - yet).

The Working Man

It was really nice one day and I stepped out to see Connor with a shovel (not unusual) and digging in the driveway....of course I had to go grab my camera to take some pictures.....when I asked him what he was doing he said he was a working man building a road.
